Kazilae aka Kaspar Kazil is a young producer who makes visual music that draws inspiration from jazz and experimental hip-hop, but also from impressionistic music and medieval religious songs. At the age of 3 he started playing the piano, has a classical and jazz piano background, and has been making digital music since he was 10 years old. As Kazilae he sees every song as an exploration of a somewhat dark, but also very colorful magical world. That world comes partly from his own vague fantasy, partly from old folktales and fairy tales about genius loci, and partly from what he sees and feels during nocturnal cycling trips. Musical sources of inspiration are Flying Lotus, Amon Tobin, and Boards of Canada. Besides music, Kazil studies Strategic Product Design at TU Delft.
